As one of the eight FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums, Ahmed Bin Ali (Al Rayyan) Stadium’s unique design reflects to the world the story of Qatar and the importance of family, the beauty of the desert, the native flora and fauna as well as local and international trade.
The Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium (the “Stadium”) is designed not only to reflect the Islamic architecture and the exquisite handicrafts produced in Qatar but also to ensure that unique façade nestled around a compact seating structure allows the fans to feel closer than even to the pitch, which guarantees an electric atmosphere. The Stadium sits surrounded by greenbelt land (the “Precinct”) spanning gross area of over 440,000 sqm to serve as a further reminder of the central place that nature occupies in Al Rayyan, Qatar and the FIFA World Cup 2022.
