AL ZUBAIR CITY DESIGN & BUILD INFRASTRUCTURE, UTILITIES & ROADS PROJECT
Al-Zubair, is a town in Basra Governorate in Iraq, just south of Basra. It also used sometimes to refer to the old Emirate of Zubair.
The total area of AI-Zubair City included in the scope of work is 32,127,304 m2. The highest elevation is located on North Western side (reaches about 15 m above sea level) while the lowest is on the south Eastern part (reaches 2m above sea level). Low areas can be seen on the map (sector 19) where the high water table is causing regular disturbance to the residents and the environment. The dominating soil in AI-Zubair is sandy soil.
Scope of work includes design & build of infrastructure works for wastewater system, storm water system, potable water system, roads rehabilitation, construction and beautification, street lighting and future provisions.
